Pete’s Head is a coastal Scotch from Peterhead, Aberdeenshire — traditional malt and copper stills, then hardened at the coast. Our Storm Cask maturation gives no shelter: casks rest in storm-exposed warehouses where salt air, cold, gales, and pressure swings shape the spirit. We select and finish for a maritime imprint—briny brightness, toasted oak, and a dry, windswept finish. Made in hardship, marked by weather.
At Pete’s Head, our brand world is single-minded: to truly thrive, you must endure. We celebrate people who work—and thrive—in rough, sometimes hostile conditions, mirroring a whisky matured at the mercy of coastal weather. Our gloomy, grim, grey visual language isn’t bleak for its own sake; it creates contrast so the calm confidence that emerges from hardship reads brighter and truer.
A St. Peter’s head cameo threads the story together—linking our namesake to Peterhead, anchoring place and provenance, and reinforcing the weather-aging (Storm Cask) philosophy at the heart of the brand.
